Please identify this mysterious tenon ring
« on: July 25, 2019, 01:47:00 PM »
I know that I have fixed plural clarinets with tenon rings like this. Please tell me and Paul what clarinet this pictured tenon ring is from.
This was spliced onto a Bruno clarinet.
Thanks!

Hmmm.. At first I thougth Uebel but the key cups aren't flattened enough for that. I'll hunt through my archives to see if I can find anything similar

I first thought it was Boosey & Hawkes, but I didn't find a picture that matched.

Could be Dave. We're Artleys made of hard rubber?

I don't think I've ever come across a hard rubber Artley, but I could be wrong.

Far as I know they were only ever made out of plastic, or a composite.

The plot thickens!

Yeah, that Artley is not it. The two ring-indentations are very deep and close together. And I've worked on one like that! It's frustrating that I can't remember the brand. I still wonder about a Boosey-Hawkes model.
