Can anyone help Eloise with this question? She is in the UK. That would probably affect the answer to the value question.

Hi Phil, I have a Boosey & Hawkes Regent clarinet, serial number 477723, made in England. I'd like to know the value of this and the age if you can! Thanks a lot!

1977 or 1978. It was their bottom of the range model. The instrument everyone started on back in the day.  UK Ebay is awash with them.  £20 - £100.  A little more if it's a wooden one in great condition - maybe.

With that price point sounds like an English Bundy equivalents. However the Bundy is actually pretty decent

Apparently a few did in the 50s.  I've never seen one.
