Langenus Clarinet
on: October 28, 2017, 10:45:53 AM
I have a G. Langenus Bb clarinet that is in great shape other than one loose joint. The serial number is H13992B and is horizontally on the upper joint (bottom/back) and lower joint (bottom/back). All parts are marked.

Mouth piece is marked "G Langenus U.S.A." 4* and had vertical signature. I bought the mouth piece separate from the clarinet.
Does anyone know if this is a stenciled clarinet by another manufacturer or did the G. Langenus LLC company from New York manufacture it?

The info I've seen was they were made on contract by a manufacturer or manufacturers, but I haven't seen anything about them being stencils of another model. Langenus the man was a player, but I don't believe a maker.
