elkhart clarinet s/n 24276

Can anyone tell me any information on this piece and perhaps a value.  All Silver plated.

Most metal clarinets, silver plated or not, were student-level and are generally worth less than $100, often as low as $50.

If your Elkhart clarinet has an engraving of an elk on the bell, it will be worth a bit more mainly for the prettiness factor.

It will be hard to date from the serial number, but most of these types of instruments were produced in the 1930-1950 range.

Assuming that it's a Buescher-built "Elkhart Band Instrument Co." instrument, it was made around 1939.
