Squeaky Sounds

Dear All

I am a self taught Tenor Saxophonist of 2 years and have been fortunate to be gifted a Selmer Bundy Clarinet.
I am fairly accomplished at my current stage on saxophone, however I am finding it quite frustrating and I am trying extremely hard to play the clarinet. The reed is 1.5 and all the corks are in good condition. When I eventually achieve a sound, it is quite a lovely tone.
Your thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Hello Derek, and welcome.

The Bundy is a workhorse.  It is reliable and has stood the test of time.  I think a 1.5 reed is definitely your best bet for now, and I encourage you to experiment with a few different mouthpieces in order to find what works best for you. 

I believe your saxophone experience will serve you well, and simplify your learning curve.
