Easy Lig – a ligature created by clarinetists for beginner clarinetists

Hello everyone,

I'd like to share with you the story behind a project born from a common challenge that every clarinet teacher knows well: the precise placement of the reed on the mouthpiece, especially for beginners.

Every clarinet teacher has seen (or experienced!) the same issues — reeds that are misaligned, bent, or even broken, leading to frustration, poor sound quality, and sometimes discouragement among young students.

To address this recurring problem, we developed Easy Lig, a completely rethought ligature, created by clarinetists for beginner clarinetists.
Its concept is both simple and innovative:

👉 first, you place the reed on the ligature,
👉 then you install the whole assembly on the mouthpiece.

This reversed approach allows for precise positioning of the reed on the mouthpiece table — only the vertical adjustment remains to be made — while ensuring a safer and faster setup.

The initial idea was to design a solution that combines the reed and the ligature in a single step, simplifying assembly and guaranteeing perfect alignment from the very first notes. It's a real peace of mind for teachers, who can focus on playing rather than setup.
