What could my dad's clarinet be worth?

Hello everyone! ☀️
My father, who is 85 years old, born in 1941, wants to sell his clarinet, but we don't know what it might be worth today.
I've been searching around the internet, but can't find any information that I understand or that I can really trust.
I play other instruments, but not the clarinet. So I would really appreciate your professional help in this matter.
I'm attaching pictures. I have a lot more pics on every part & the music books. But the thread only allows me to add 4.

All original parts are included, an original case with it's key and some music books. Bought in the mid-60s. Almost never used. I don't see any cracks in the wood/cork, I think the clarinet looks good. How it sounds, no idea.

Boosey & Hawkes London Imperial 1010, 232677.

Warm Regards/ Lia 🤗

Welcome, and thank you for sharing.

The 1010 is a fantastic machine, and is certainly valuable.

I can't give a proper valuation, but they are very desireable.

The Symphony 1010 was Boosey & Hawkes' top-of-the-line clarinet. That one looks to be in excellent condition.

Value is going to depend a lot on your location - these have an uncommonly-large bore and are highly desirable to those who want that, but the market is a bit soft right now. It'll probably need some work on account of its age, so if you have a repair shop near you, you could ask to have it evaluated (and if they're a music store as well, they might be able to advise better on value).

Hi Windsong & 350 Rocket! ☀️
Thank you so very much for taking your time to answer and welcoming me into the group 🤗

That sounds promising, it would been a dream to find the right home for this beautiful clarinet. It is meant to be played and create magic, not to lie in a box all its life. It has been untouched for over 44 years as long as I have lived. My dad has told me that he has barely been used it since he was young when he bought it, so is it is like new & need to be alive 🎶💜

We are located in Sweden, southern Dalarna, we have a few music stores around us, but only a few small stores. Then we have large auction companies in Stockholm. But it is too far away. I will take your advice and contact the music stores we have here. And see if they have the knowledge to help 😌

And thank you so much again for your answers, it means so very much 🥰
Have a cozy weekend 🌼
Warm regards/ Lia 🤗💜

Certainly, Lia.  Happy to help.  The clarinet sounds very nice.  Best of luck in finding its next player!
