Not browser issue.  My IP is apparently blocked.  Tested by connecting my phone to my internet router, same error.  403 permission denied.

So Kurth is able to log in on his cell phone, but not his PC.

I recommend trying a new browser on his PC.

It's not a browser issue, tested and verified that.  Not using VPN.  It appears to be an IP block issue.  I get a nice pretty blue page with a 403 error on it.  It will happen on any device I connect to my internet router.

If it's a block on your specific ip, you can try rebooting your router. I'd try it this way.
1 - go to whatismyip.com and get your ipv4 address.
2 - power off your router.
3 - unplug your router and press the power button a couple times. (this will clear any residual charge in the router)
4 - plug the router back in and power on.
5 - go to whatismyip.com and see what your ipv4 address is now.  Unless you pay extra for a static public IP address, it should have changed.
6 - try getting to clarinet pages again.

Who is your service provider?  With the way the spammers were hitting the forum for a while, maybe your service provider block clarinet pages.

Unfortunately I already tried to refresh my IP, my ISP retains the IP even over a router reboot, I tried manually releasing and renewing the address from the router, same result.

I doubt it's my ISP, I can connect to the server and I get a 403, so it smells like a blacklist on the other end.  If their server has accessible IP access logs that might confirm I got there at least.  I sent my IP in a PM to windsong, I don't want to post it publicly here.

Another possible option is it might be a DNS issue of some kind, I'm still exploring that.  My DNS knowledge is limited to simple servers and how to configure a client however.

Thank you, Mechanic, for trying to help. I'm sorry to say, Kurth, that this issue is way beyond my ability to solve. Mechanic, can you think of something else that can be checked?

Ok, I'm back, my ISP could not change my IP, but using a VPN does.

Somewhere my IP is on a blacklist, seems to only affect this site.

My VPN is on other blacklists though, as some sites dislike VPN users anonymity.

But it works for now. :-)

Back in the mid 2000's, I was working in Okinawa, Japan for a couple years. My home ISP was Mediatti and thus had a Japanese IP. US gov recommended citizens to pay heed to US State Department warnings before traveling to various foreign countries. Since we were in the Orient, one could travel to various nearby countries for vacation.

Because I had a Japanese IP, the US was blocking all Japanese Internet traffic to the State Dept. website. I could not read their advisories.

I researched, then installed TOR Onion router anonymizing services on my PC. Now exiting a TOR server in European countries like Netherlands, England, France, etc., I could successfully access the State Department website.

Because I have been a long time Linux user, some sites were blocking me for using Linux. So, I would change my browser ID in TOR services to Windows XP, Windows NT, Apple Mac, etc. Now I could access them.

Then, various info sources including gov "truth tellers", LOL, stated that terrorists used the Linux operating system. Snail mail was suspect if it contained poor hand writing, oil stains, etc. during the anthrax scare. (My wife as a school teacher has poor handwriting, we had oil stained letters and packages from her multitasking with cooking.) Terrorists use TOR, and ad nauseum.

The rank stupidity of these arguments is that if I were a true terrorist, I'd make things look so legitimate as possible. Then it would slip past people. This is how crooks get away.

Some now block my local ISP, Plateau Tel. and private account Proton E-mails but let through market leader Emails. These use various E-mail services through the "market leaders". To clear I have to call them so their E-mail service white lists my E-mails.

Like Pogo said, "We have found the enemy and he is us!" One cannot make this stuff up.
