Title: Clarinet Identification
Post by: lmtk421 on August 03, 2021, 04:54:27 PM
Hi all. I need help with identifying this wooden clarinet! Serial number: D4539. There are no stamps or other identifying markings.

I greatly appreciate your assistance! :)

Hi,
in the first moment I thought it is an instrument from D.Noblet. By the SNr. D****. But it isn´t, the c# handle of left hand is diffrent.
¿What is written on the bell, just under the joint ring? It looks, in the second foto, like somthing written.

This is almost certainly a Malerne product - there's the telltale curved "made in france" stamp on the bell.

Thanks el gitano and Dave. It does indeed appears to be a Malerne clarinet!

No problem. Any time you see the Made in France logo sort of curved like that, 99% of the time its Malerne, and 99% of those times it's stamped with a different name. Pretty much everybody stencilled on Malerne at one point or another.
