All about Clarinets / I'm stumped - Albert system Eb -German?
« on: May 11, 2019, 05:54:20 PM »
I have here an albert system Eb.   There is a severely beat up logo pictured below, but I can't figure out what it depicts or who made it.  Below the logo is SCHUTMARKE or SCHUT MARKE.  Basically translates from German as trademark. Logo is on the upper and lower joints, nothing on the barrel or bell and no name, serial number or any other markings.

I've tried 3 different cameras and multiple lighting variations and if the angle is a little different or the lighting a little harsher, you'd be hard pressed to tell they were pictures of the same logo.

It came with a wooden mouthpiece that is ringed for a string ligature.

I'm assuming German manufacture, but that's as far as I can get.  Any ideas??

All about Clarinets / Possibly a Penzel Mueller full Boehm in A
« on: May 12, 2017, 10:24:47 PM »
The logo's on this one are mostly gone, but what bits remain have me thinking it may be a Penzel Mueller.  It's marked L.P., A and the serial is 7214 and all easy to pick out.  Matching serial number on both joints.  I think I see the outline of the eagles wings below the A on the upper joint, or my eyes are going buggy.

All about Clarinets / Henri Dubois - Paris
« on: May 06, 2017, 08:13:26 PM »
Here's the Henri Dubois - Paris.  Wood body, hard rubber barrel and bell.  Made in France (nearly obliterated) is stamped on the front top, of the top joint.  Serial number on the bottom back, of both. It's had a rough life.  A pinned crack on the top joint, and 2 more trying to take hold.  I'm pretty certain there is not a single pad that seals, and it's missing a couple of springs.  They're not broken, they've been removed.

Not really relevant to any research I was doing, but some interesting and/or fun sites I ran across.  Kind of like an Easter egg in the gaming world.
