I'm most intrigued by the lack of a plateau on the third hole.
I've seen a variety of plateau mechanisms:
just thumb (Mazzeo)
all but thumb (Bottali)
just thumb, 3rd and 6th holes (Bundy semi-plateau)
But never one with all but the 3rd hole. If anything, I would think that would be the one hole most critical to have a plateau.
Ten grand for a purple CSO?
The seller is clearly "taking the piss".
What is most interesting is that such a person found the study of historic clarinets worthy of his time. Apparently he did not consider it a trivial matter.
It's beyond my abilities but I'd like to ask how literally do you expect the timing to be taken? Is it even possible to play a sextuplet in a 5/16 bar that's flanked by a 3/8 bar and a 5/8 bar and get it accurate?
Ok so check this out. I don't even know what to call it. The title says it best, "Manuscript for clarinet"
