i use plasticovers on Bb and legere,bravo and forestone on alto and bass. the legere euro on bass is really good. the forestone hinoki reed is softer than the black bamboo and is what i prefer as the black bamboo is too hard even in the softest aval.

i am also a big fan of the prufer silver throat . i have 2 and used them for big band and german band . huge sound  and good players.

wow thats a special conn. i just bought a 424n and had it rebuilt and its the best jazz horn i have ever played. yours deserves a special owner.

my daughter started on and used all thu school till grad uation a normandy resonite plateau  and the clueless band directors never even noticed. every director was a brass player. i have in my collection a martin fereies wood platteau with mother of pearl key touches. its a think of beauty but only an average player. the normandy plays much better. i have a second normandy i found long ago in a pawn shop that i plan to restore myself=hopefully.
