Thank you Phil for the gift - it's a "thumb-saver" !!!
« on: September 12, 2016, 05:44:25 PM »
Let's face it, after 45 minutes or so of practicing the right hand thumb wants to take a break. Well, being the intense clarinetists that we are here at Clarinet Pages, we practice much more than that - right?

Here's the solution for thumb fatigue! I just installed it on my Bundy - my always "ready to play" clarinet. So far, it's been as comfortable as it looks.

Thanks again to Phil and also to Xaioyu!

Got mine today, too!   Interesting add-on!

Thumb fatigue was not something I anticipated with clarinet, but I found out about soon enough. It can be pretty bad if it becomes chronic. I've resorted to the neck strap which helps a little bit, but this thing feels like the cure. My right hand whole heartedly thanks Phil for this device.

Well, almost a year later and I don't want to be without it!  The thumb rest is made very well and shows no indications of wear.

I should have ordered a couple more of 'em.

I did just that.
Here is Kenny Woodwind's contact info:

I'm sure he'd be happy to sell more.  They are, in fact, great.

Yes indeed, Mechanic, and from that, I found the original thread:

I had looked for it previously, and could not find it.
