Leblanc A Dynamique clarinet Barrel
« on: June 27, 2017, 01:47:29 PM »
I just picked up an A Leblanc Dynamique . but with a Selmer Barrel that looks to be about a 66mm, Does anyone know what the standard Barrel size is on an A Leblanc Clarinet?
thanks

I'm not sure there is a real "standard".  I think the most common length is 65mm, but customers can request different lengths when they order from the manufacturer, or purchase a different length barrel later.

Thanks.
I tired a 65.5 and it is still about 18 cents flat, so I think I am going to order a 64mm

Yikes. 64 is pretty short, especially on an A clarinet!
Good luck though, please update us on how it works out.

After double checking, I realized i was wrong. it was 12 cents flat, so you are right, a 65 mm should do the trick...Thanks

I ordered a  reverse taper Accubore A Clarinet Barrel CA65 form  Munchy winds. It was on clearance. If it turns out to be the right size, I can always order a Backun latter on.

Great! Glad to hear things worked out. Could you post a picture of your clarinet? I'd love to see how it looks!
