I live in Dartmouth (Eastern Passage), Nova Scotia, Canada on the Atlantic. By way of-- (born & raised in) Yonkers, NY, then The Pas, Manitoba...Regina, Saskatchewan...Fort McMurray, Alberta...Thompson, Manitoba...Saint John, New Brunswick...Winnipeg, Manitoba...The Pas again...Thompson again (left for N.S. in 2005 & still here....). About 25 of those years were in Northern Manitoba with winters of 3 months of average daytime temperatures of -30C (-22F) and some nights of minus 40 or lower. But, in June sunsets at 10:30 P.M. and sunrise 3:30 A.M.
But, almost every summer since leaving Yonkers in 1977 has been spent back in the NYC area playing jobs with several bands & the Yonkers Philharmonic.
Have been Principal Clarinet (and often featured soloist) with the Westchester Band (Scarsdale, NY) since 1998. Westchester Band Facebook Group has some videos.
