A mirror!
I read in my book that I should check my embouchure in a mirror but I always thought I'd feel silly doing that so I ignored it. But I've been getting fed up of the mouthpiece moving about in my mouth, and I keep puffing my cheeks. I wanted to correct that, so I played in the bathroom in front of the shaving mirror. What a difference!
Also the acoustic in there is fantastic. Natural reverb and the sound is boosted!

Yes! It's a classic good idea. Also, you can watch your fingers rise far more than necessary, and remind yourself to minimize the motion.
