Was wondering if there were any other places people trade buy sell their instruments?
I know there is facebook market, craigslist, ebay, reverb and other places on the web. Flee markets, garage sales and the local pawn shop if you are looking to grab a cheaper fixer upper.
Music stores and other brick and mortar seem to command a higher price because of their overhead.
I'm sure bands/musicians will talk with each other and maybe do some trading. Not part of either so no connections there.
I wouldn't mind clearing out some of my student grade instruments to kids if I knew that they weren't going to just trash them. Do not know if local schools would even be interested in them. I have a couple repeats from various auctions that they must have just thrown in there to move them.
I realize the market for clarinets is pretty niche and is not really an in style instrument for whatever that's worth.
