Avatars seem to have disappeared
« on: December 04, 2020, 03:59:35 PM »
Or is it just me? I tried to change mine and got an error saying the file area is not writable, or something like that.  I also noticed everyone else's avatars aren't showing...

Lord British will not be happy if the avatar has disappeared. But he usually only appears in times of peril.
Ultima joke.

Serpent isle was good, ultima 8 just killed the franchise, it was aweful. I played through it but the story line was so fragmented, full of holes and didn't have much to do with anything. Never played 9 but heard it was better.
Can't beat the originals though.
Also the online was fun, total sandbox.

In the role playing video game series "Ultima", the character played by the gamer is referred to literally as "Avatar" in the game.     It's an RPG series that dates back almost 40 years with many of the individual games considered among the best RPGs ever.
