Flute: The Pedler Co. Elkhart Ind.

I have researched a bit about The Pedler Co. Elkhart Ind. flute that I have posted on FB Marketplace: https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/179800817287377/
The # on the base of the head piece is 273; on the barrel is 59273. I think the case looks rather cool/vintage. However, for resale, people keep asking what is wrong with it. I have explained that I do not know its history, per se, except that some say it may be worth around $50 for a beginner band student (who doesn't care that the case isn't shiny and new and the flute isn't a shiny new Yamaha). A local music store checked it over and because it is a "lesser known" model and the case is old, they can't offer me anything for it in order to make money off of purchasing it and cleaning it up to rent out as a band instrument. Having played the flute in high school bands, I tried it out when it was first given to me. Also, my father, a former band teacher, looked it over. Guess what: plays like a flute that needs a little bit of elbow grease. Understandably, the local music store suggested putting new pads on it.

Can anyone help provide some insight with the instrument I have listed on FB Marketplace. Hope the pictures attached help.

That looks very old, 20s-40s judging by the roller on the bottom stack.

I do know that "Harry Pedler" is worth a lot more than "The Pedler," but its hard to say how much this would be worth.

Do you see any stampings indicate any part is silver, especially the head? There might be a small "STERLING" or "COIN SILVER" stamp. If so, it's probably worth a decent amount.

Without knowing too much about flutes, I feel like $100 is a fair price for a vintage flute in general.

Pedler made some nice clarinets. I'm not familiar with their flutes, but this is a student line flute so at best it might be worth $150.
