"Bring It On Home To My House" - Western Swing Clarinet!
« on: November 09, 2021, 04:58:25 AM »
The boys in the band (I hasten to add I play guitar, not clarinet) are increasing the pressure for me to include the clarinet at some point. An idea that terrifies me, and would no doubt terrify our audience if they got wind of the idea. Nevertheless, I thought I'd have a bash at a song that we've done in the past and see if I could hold onto the chords and do something passable. The reality is I'm only using the A minor pentatonic and the odd Db (for the diminished chord) so it turned out easier than I thought. Need a little more rhythmic interest and fluency I feel. But would love the group's thoughts.

Cheers
Derek

You have 6 "likes" already. One is from me.  :D

I've been in Telecaster mode. I need to mix in some woodwinds too!

I've been in Telecaster mode.

Telecaster mode is a fine place to be!

Great video, my friend!
Another like from me.
I like watching and listening to folks who play at a higher level than I could ever hope to achieve.
