Buffet BC2541‐5‐0 or LeBlanc LCL301NPC?
« on: November 27, 2021, 02:55:47 PM »

My daughter started playing clarinet this year and loves it.  I've never seen her so interested in something.  I was thinking of getting her a clarinet of her own rather than continuing to rent.

A local shop has the Buffet BC2541‐5‐0 for $610 or LeBlanc LCL301NPC for $620.  I've looked up the models but can't tell much about it because I don't know jack about clarinets.  Which one is the better deal?

It looks like the Buffet is a Prodige model, while the LeBlanc is a new generation Vito.

They are both considered student level instruments, and are pretty evenly matched I would imagine.

I would actually go for the Buffet, if nothing else for resale value. Buffet always has a better brand recognition than other brands (for the most part).
