Antique Buffet clarinets marked "NB"
« on: February 04, 2022, 06:48:20 PM »
I know people have wondered about this "NB" in the past- my wife suggested that this is nota bene, latin for "note well", used to mark an exceptional example.  This abbreviated form is used to call attention to something important in legal or academic writing.  Seems like as good an explanation as I've ever heard!
