Increased condensation with synthetic reeds?

Concerning condensation and buzzing, do you warm the mouthpiece up before playing? As a recorder player I know this is an important thing to do to avoid condensation building up and causing a muffled sound. On a clarinet it could be causing the buzzing sound I get after playing for a while. The way I see it, moisture builds up between the mpc and reed (both plastic) and with nowhere to go it sits there and affects the sound. It may be more of an issue if, like me, you use a synthetic reed. Might warming the mpc/ reed  up before playing help?

Hi Larry.  I wonder if the table of the mouth piece is uneven.

Also, when you refill your lungs with air and start playing again, think about expelling cool air vs. warm air.

A good articulation habit is to start the airstream with a "Too" sound vs. a "Tah" sound.

The mouthpiece (Yam 4C) is in fine condition, never been dropped or anything, but it is hard blowing compared to the Noblet, which is way freer blowing

Yes. I do find more moisture between the reed and mouthpiece facing when using my Legere plastic reed. As opposed to wooden reeds. Though I noticed it happening less over the last 4 years that I've been using the Legeres. I also suck a lot on the mouthpiece during practicing-- this avoids having to remove the reed and wipe off the back of it.

Same problem here. I can't imagine the porosity of cane vs plastic makes that BIG of a difference considering the very small surface area, but I certainly do see a difference.
It's kind of annoying, but it's a sacrifice I am willing to take.
