SELL: H. FREEMAN top and bottom joints
« on: May 27, 2024, 01:07:01 PM »
FOR SALE:  Harold Freeman top and bottom joints with complete keyset and matching, low serial numbers. Stamped "Made in France"

Some prominent folks in the clarinet community have intimated that these low-serial H. FREEMAN clarinets were pre-R13 Stencils.

I have never owned a vintage Buffet Crampon, so you be the judge.

This is a very nice clarinet.  The wood is a very beautiful heart grenadilla, with prominent striations.
The body has no hairlining anywhere, the tone hole chimneys are very nice, and the only blemish of note was at the top joint's top tenon, (see photo) where it experienced some mild notching.  It has since been permanently repaired with Cyanocrylate and Geenadilla dust.

This would be a worthy restoration for anyone not looking for a headache.   All screws are free, the body has been cleaned and oiled, and the keys are intact, and made of forged, unplated nickel silver.

PM me if interested, for a ridiculously good deal.
