Maestro Barrel
« on: October 04, 2012, 04:56:17 PM »
Hi all, I recently acquired a clarinet that included this interesting Maestro barrel.  It has some sort of contraption screwed into the front of it.  The thing screws completely into the barrel, as you can see the ends of the screw threads inside the bore.

Does anyone have any information about this Maestro barrel?

Never seen anything like it.
Perhaps for amplification (Microphone) ?

Has me mystified. Perhaps it\'s some sort of microphone (amplification) attachment.

That makes sense, it may be a mike attachment
