Kenny Davern jazz YouTube 'Smiles'
« on: February 27, 2016, 08:13:09 AM »
This  YouTube was sent to me by Harold Edwards, and I thought some others would enjoy this recording of Kenny Davern.

Harold says: The folder in Kenny Davernís CD Smiles notes that he used a Vandoren 5JB mouthpiece and Conn 16 clarinet.

A Conn 16?  I'm surprised, it sounds pretty solid!

Says same thing on my CDs of Kenny.  I have the same setup but don't sound like him.  No way can I play altissimo that smoothly and easily, let along hit double high D.
Playing a clarinet badly is better than not playing a clarinet at all.
