From the "good stuff" topic, now in my possession and probably saved from becoming a wall decoration by some other members here and me. ;)

Wow, that's great. It's nice to these old wooded clarinets being saved and appreciated.

I don't want to know how many have been lost to neglect or what not.

That's so much prettier than it looked in the seller's photos.  :)  Makes me happy to see it in a good home with compatible friends.

Here's what I found in the boneyard. The one with the spring might be Albert type. The other one looks more like it might dodge the bridge link.

I also have an extra one like the right hand picture from an Albert.  The original design is different than either of those as the touchpiece and arm/pad cup are separate parts soldered right at the top of the hinge tube. Maybe because the clearance is very tight to the upper ring key stack, and there is a "notch"  that it wouldn't allow a cross piece to be strong enough.

It certainly is.  That looks fantastically preserved.

Even if we must resort to cutting/splicing something together that fits, I think it will be well worth the effort. Can't do "Dark Eyes" in my concertina player's key without that C# key. ;D
