Hi all - Phil sent me this thumb rest the other day.

I really like it, it has found a home on my main horn, the L7.  Perfect fit on both the thumb and round clarinet, best thumb rest I have ever used.  Phil told me these are only available on special order from the maker.

So what do y'all think of the one you received?  Let us know, please.  See attached photos, a little blurry, but my photography skills about equal to my clarinet skill.

My thoughts on that thumb rest?  Actually phenominal.  I can find no reason that ANYONE would not want one.  I have a permanent indentation in my right thumb, (I'm sure we all do) from the horrible thumb rests on all my clarinets.  This is such a simple, seemingly easy to manufacture piece that eases strain so nicely.  It is as close to perfect as a thumb rest pad can get, and is miles ahead of the competition.  It enhances the experience, leaves the player with no thumb fatigue--no matter how long the clarinet is played,  and enables the instrument to be held at different angles while standing.
I would purchase more in an instant, and I fully endorse it.

It's the kind of thing I will probably want more than one of in case I lose this one. I got used to it really fast and it's one of those things that after one or two uses, you always want it. One aspect I really like is how it sets the hand more open. There is less tension or it feels that way at least. It works on all my favorites so far and it's currently resting on my daily 424N. Great design and funtion!

Thanks so much, Phil! I will try it out next week after the rodeo. I do not want to put anything that could be dropped on while I am riding a horse, you know.

I am also pleased with this very functional thumbrest accessory.  This device does more to help raise that right wrist into the correct position for less fatigue and better facility than any other I have tried.

The taper encourages the thumb to comfortably hold the clarinet up, leaving the wrist position and the right hand's fingers up into the right position, and letting them stay there.

It is the functional equivalent of a pianist holding those wrists up to allow better key technique.

I finally got back from Cambodia so I had a chance to try out the thumb saddle - and WOW.

It's real nice and soft, so it will be good for those realllllly long concerts.  The fact that it juts out means that it keeps the right hand in an excellent position to reach all keys comfortably and easily.

I'm most impressed with the comfort factor on this. GREAT product!

Yes, beta testing is complete!  Put me down for 2 more as well.  Oh, and an alto version would be wonderful too!

I am looking for a dealer in USA.  But now I can make a group order for you.  The more number the cost will be  low. 1pcs  price is $10 plus $3 shipping from China. Lower  than ridenour's saddle.
And here is  the packing:
